This photo is being shared all over the internet as being a picture of famous fashion designer Coco Chanel in 1913.

It is not.
This is model Edita Vilkeviciute as Chanel in the short movie “Paris-Moscou” by fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, made in 2008.

It is probably quite a compliment for everyone involved with that project that there are people who think that picture really is Coco Chanel in 1913, but it is still tricky when fake history is shared as real.
So if you see this being shared somewhere, please tell them the truth.
