More AI slop polluting the internet with history nonsense.
This is a relatively small tiktok account but the videos they share have already been seen by hundreds of thousands of people.
I’ll share a few random screenshots from a few of their videos here and tell you what’s wrong.
The comments section online shows that people are blindly accepting what they see here as truth.
My response is under each screenshot.
Of course, muddy streets full of filth.
Medieval London had strict rules about keeping streets clean, rubbish was collected, throwing stuff in the streets could get you in trouble with both the law and locals (we have reports of people almost being lynched for simply littering) and streets had gutters/drains which would get rid of most of the water/mud unless the weather was unusual.
Street lantern at the top appears to be Victorian, chimneys are dodgy too.
Remember, these folks believed in the miasma theory, this means that they were literally scared to death of bad smells.
Of course, man wearing drab brown rags, covered in mud, he’d probably wouldn’t be allowed into the inn like that. Medieval people washed daily, bathed weekly or more, used soap, cared about being clean, a lot.
Also woman is merged with a table, although the witch fear wasn’t that big back then (yet) I’m pretty sure someone walking through tables would be in trouble.
This is supposed to be London bridge, a wonderful medieval bridge with houses on it… but it confused AI so it was merged with Tower Bridge, like some sort of ‘The Thing‘ monstrosity.
Tower bridge was of course built in the 19th century.
And what’s going on behind the bridge?
To be fair, I’m glad that ai at least put a little colour and art on the walls of this church.
More filth and rubbish, but ai is too dumb to realise that modern day rubbish isn’t quite the same as medieval rubbish.
They didn’t have laundry hanging across streets, they didn’t have clothes pegs.

In short, yet another channel that publishes one nonsense video after another, images and text all AI nonsense, seen and loved by many thousands of people who blindly accept the videos for truth and allow them to reinforce their outdated ideas and biases.
Stop polluting the internet with AI slop, history matters.
